Girish Khullar

I had the pleasure to work Girish Khullar for almost 2 years. As an Agile thought leader Girish brings experience based pragmatism to his craft! this was demonstrated in many needle moving initiatives like Technical Debt, establishing ART syncs that actually work, influencing the mind set to adopt Agile practices. The results speaks from themselves. A stronger mature Agile practice that scales in an exponentially dynamic environment. Above all, Girish’s made sure that it was made with elegance and grace and of course always moving the needle with innovative ideas !

I was introduced to the world of Agile through Girish and I feel fortunate to have him as my mentor. Through his guidance and mentorship I was able to secure my first role as a Senior Scrum Master within 6 months of the mentorship Journey. He not only is an expert in Agile lean practices, but he also has a knack for simplifying the most complex concepts through practical/real-life examples and has the ability to tailor is content based on the mentee. He worked with me through the entire process including – teaching concepts, getting certifications (PSM II, PAL-EBM and SAFe 5 Advanced Scrum Master), applying for roles, interview preparation and on-boarding. Through his mentorship I was able to hit the ground running at my current role and was even able to progress to the next level within 8 months of starting as a Scrum Master.

Girish is not only a great coach or mentor but a wonderful human being as well. He is passionate about mentoring and coaching and goes above and beyond to teach in an impactful way. His understanding, depth and knowledge on Agile practices is phenomenal. His ability to communicate and impact knowledge to his mentees is worthy of emulation. To say that my experience with him as a ‘Mentee’ for over a year has been ‘invaluable’, would be an understatement. He not only provided me in-depth knowledge of Scrum framework, Kanban methodology and how to improve my Coaching skills but as a mentor in my career always challenged me and encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone. I consider myself fortunate to work with him as a mentee and he has always been easily approachable whenever I had doubts. I would highly recommend him as an Agile coach and mentor.

Girish and I worked together at Questrade during a transformational period that included rapid change and scaling.

Girish is a subject matter expert in SAFe and other agile methodologies. I saw first hand how he effectively matured our agile practice by implementing SAFe best practices such as setting up multiple ART’s, executing agile ceremonies, implementing matrices to measure success and predictability etc.

I have deep respect for Girish as he has a blend of subject matter expertise, empathy, positive attitude and a collaborative mind set.
